Recently, Associate Prof. Hu Xinghao and his team of Institute of Intelligent Flexible Mechatronics of Jiangsu University (JSU), published a review paper entitled Recent Advances in Carbon Nanotube-Based Energy Harvesting Technologies in Advanced Materials.
This paper comprehensively reviews various CNT-based energy harvesting technologies, including electrochemical, hydroelectric, triboelectric, piezoelectric, and thermoelectric nanogenerators. Focusing on the working principles, typical examples, future challenges and directions of different CNT-based devices, this paper introduces in great detail the working principles, application examples, challenges and developments of various CNT-based nanogenerators, and their applications in micropower sources and self-powered sensors, providing a valuable reference to the design of the CNT-based energy harvesters.
Associate Prof. Hu Xinghao, postgraduate student of JSU Bao Xianfu, and post-doctor of University of Texas at Dallas Zhang Mengmeng are the first authors. Associate Prof. Hu Xinghao and University of Texas at Dallas Academician Ray H. Baughman are the corresponding authors.
