JSU Held the Cooperative Meeting with Kinneret College on the Sea of Galilee

On September 6, Jiangsu University(JSU) held an online cooperation meeting with the Kinneret College on the Sea of Galilee, Israel (hereinafter referred to as Kinneret College ). President of JSU Prof. Yan Xiaohong, Vice President of JSU Prof. Zhao Yutao and President of Kinneret College Prof. Simon Garpstein, the leaders from International Office, School of Agricultural Engineering, Biofuels Institute and Research Center of Fluid Machinery Engineering and Technology of JSU, CEO and leaders from Faculty of Engineering, Department of Water Industries Engineering of Kinneret College attended the meeting. Prof. Zhao Yutao hosted the meeting.

Prof. Yan Xiaohong gave a brief introduction to JSU. JSU adheres to the characteristic of "Integrating Industry into Agriculture and Supporting Agriculture with Industry", and implements the internationalized strategy , which yields achievements remarkable in recent years. These achievements have effectively promoted the rapid improvement of the university’s overall strength. He expressed the sincere hope to carry out in-depth exchanges and cooperation with Kinneret College in scientific research cooperation, student exchanges, and achievement transformation, and etc.

Prof. Simon Gapstein briefed the Kinnarete College and expressed his willingness to promote cooperation between the two universities in the academic fields of agricultural engineering, fluid mechanics and water pollution treatment, and so on.

The two universities further discussed and exchanged opinions on the specific aspects and forms of cooperation, and reached a consensus that they will promote faculty exchanges, scientific research cooperation, joint education of students, and the construction of international innovation cooperation platform for win-win situation.

Kinneret College on the Sea of Galilee is an institution of higher education based on a multicultural educational philosophy, committed to the advancement and development of the region, encouraging social involvement. Founded in 1965 on the shores of the Sea of Galilee, it caters to approximately 4000 students studying in various tracks and departments.
