19 Scholars of JSU named in the list of "Highly Cited Chinese Researchers 2021" published by Elsevier

On April 14, 2022, Elsevier, a global information analysis company, published its official list, titled “Highly Cited Chinese Researchers 2021”. The list contains the names of 4,701 scholars, representing 523 universities and colleges, enterprises and scientific research institutions, encompassing 10 disciplinary fields and 84 first-level disciplines.

In 2021, a total of 19 scholars in 8 first-level disciplines of Jiangsu University (JSU) earned the honour of being named in the list, listing 4 academics in the Agricultural Engineering and Environmental Science and Engineering disciplines, 3 academics in the Mechanical Engineering discipline, 3 academics in the Clinical Medicine discipline, 2 academics in the Electrical Engineering discipline, 2 academics in the Power Engineering discipline, and 1 academic in each of the following disciplines: Engineering Thermophysics discipline, Food Science and Engineering discipline, Chemical Engineering and Technology discipline. The number of JSU academics in the list has increased by 5 compared to last year. JSU now ranks 52nd in China and has moved up 6 places in the rankings.

Elsevier's list of “Highly Cited Chinese Researchers 2021” utilized Scopus, a global authoritative citation and database index, as the data source for Chinese academics’ scientific research achievements, and adopted the selection method designed by Shanghai Ranking Consultancy. Since its release in 2015, it has received note worthy praise from the local and international media as well as academics.
