JSU won 6 prizes in the 17th Challenge Cup - National University Students Extracurricular Academic Science and Technology Competition

On March 29, the winners of the 17th Challenge Cup - National University Students Extracurricular Academic Science and Technology Competition were announced. The University is exceptionally proud that all 6 entries from Jiangsu University (JSU) won awards.

The entry in the field of Mechanical Control under the supervision of Prof. Li Yaoming and Prof. Xu Lizhang, from the School of Agricultural Engineering won a special prize; the entry in the field of Life Science under the supervision of Prof. Wang Shengjun and Prof. Tian Jie, from the School of Medicine, won a first prize; the entry in the field of Energy and Chemical under the supervision of Prof. Pan Jianming, from the School of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering, the entry in the field of Life Science under the supervision of Prof. Zhang Yewang from the School of Pharmacy, and the entry in the field of Information Technology under the supervision of Prof. Tang Zhong from the School of Agricultural Engineering all won second prizes. The entry in the field of Energy and Chemical under the supervision of Prof. Shi Jiyong, Prof. Zou Xiaobo and Prof. Huang Xiaowei from the School of Food & Biological Engineering won a third prize.

There were a total of 1509 entries in this competition. The competition evaluation committee awarded 49 special prizes, 109 first prizes, 320 second prizes and 755 third prizes.

Due to restrictions created by the Covid epidemic, the Challenge Cup finals were held online for the first time from the 26th to 28th of March.

The participating teams of JSU overcame the challenging epidemic environment and the change of competition dates and other unexpected challenges, worked together with great strength and composure, displaying an enthusiastic young and upward mobile winning attitude expected at JSU.
