From Dec. 19 to 20, 2020, the 8th Creative Engineering Design Competition (CEDC2020) was held offline in Shenyang, China, and online in Japan and Korea. The delegation of Jiangsu University (JSU) won the only Grand Award, 2 Gold Awards, 1 Silver Award and 1 Bronze Award.
The CEDC2020 was organized by Shenyang University of Chemical Technology, China, co-hosted by Dalian University of Technology, China and Northeastern University, China. More than 10 Chinese, Japanese and Korean universities, including Yamaguchi University, Japan, Kunsan National University, Korea and Chungbuk National University, Korea, participated in the competition.
The organizational committee received 46 entries, including 5 entries from JSU. After the fierce PPT presentation, on-site demonstration and defense, the Multi-Rotor Linearly Arranged Aircraft designed by Zhang Nian, Wang Dewei and Xie Yuxi from School of Electrical and Information Engineering of JSU was unanimously recognized by the judges and won the Grand Award.
The CEDC was jointly initiated by Jiangsu University, China, Yamaguchi University, Japan, and Kunsan National University, Korea in 2013. The universities in China, Japan and South Korea take turns to organize the competitions for students to design mechanical, electronic, computer and other hot interdisciplinary subjects. Excellent works of field innovation and intelligent application provide a platform for mutual learning and perfect communication.
