On Oct.20th, USNews released the World University Subject Ranking, a total of 1488 subjects from 200 universities in Chinese Mainland are on the ranking. The ranking includes 38 first-level subjects, which covering more subjects than other international subject rankings.
Jiangsu University (JSU) ranks 46th among the Chinese Mainland’s universities with 3 top 100 subjects and 11 subjects in total and Mechanical Engineering, Energy and Fuel, and Chemical Engineering entered the top 100 in the world.
The universities covered in the USNews World University Subjects Ranking are all listed universities in the USNews World University Ranking. The main performance indicators are divided into five fields: academic reputation, research, citations, conferences, and representative papers. In the USNews World University Subjects Ranking, domestic universities have 4 disciplines ranked first in the world, 3 from Tsinghua University and 1 from Tongji University. In addition, 54 disciplines from 22 universities of Chinese Mainland have entered the top 10 in the world.
