Recently, Shanghai Ranking’s Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) 2020 was officially released. There are 144 universities from China’s mainland on this list. For the first time, Jiangsu University (JSU) has ranked among the top 400 universities in ARWU, ranking 33-49 in Chinese mainland universities and 301-400 in the world universities, which was a new breakthrough on the basis of last year’s global top 500 for the first-time.

Since 2003 when ARWU released its first ranking that was influential and magisterial, ARWU has been presenting the world top universities annually based on transparent methodology and objective third-party data. Being objective, transparent and stable, ARWU has released its 18th Ranking this year. It has been recognized as the precursor of global university rankings and the most trustworthy one.

JSU ranked among the world’s top 400 universities for the first time, showing the remarkable achievements of the university’s connotation construction, and improving the international influence and core competitiveness of JSU.
