Recently, led by Prof. Xu Ximing, School of Pharmacy, Jiangsu University, in combination with Jiangsu Tiansheng Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., National Agricultural University of Tashkent, Uzbekistan joint declaration of the national key research and development program "licorice innovation research and development of active ingredient" successfully approved (total of 10.41 million yuan, of which was allocated funds 5.41 million yuan) in our school, the project is hosted by our school's first strategic key special international science and technology innovation cooperation, realize the drug sector research and development of the national key project zero breakthrough.
Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch, also known as "the king of herbs", is widely used in medicine, food and other fields, long-term market demand; It is one of the strategic plant varieties in China, which plays an extremely important and irreplaceable ecological role in preventing and controlling desertification. China and Ukraine have jointly established the "Jiangsu Province Food New Resources and Medicinal Function Development Engineering Research Center”, the two sides hope to speed up the gorgeous transformation of Glycyrrhiza from ordinary agricultural products to functional food, health care products and drugs, and promote the industrial upgrading and driving through key technologies such as Glycyrrhiza quality innovation, discovery of new active ingredients and development of functional products farmers' income increase and ecological environment sustainable play a leading role in demonstration.
