From 24^th to 28^th September 2019, the 15^th Asian International Conference on Fluid Machinery (AICFM15) and the 2^nd IAHR-Asia Symposium on Hydraulic Machinery and Systems (IAHR-Asia2019) were held in Busan, South Korea. This conference was co-organized by Asian Fluid Machinery Committee (AFMC) and Korean Society for Fluid Machinery (KSFM).

At the awarding ceremony, Prof. Chisachi KATO, Chairman of the Asian Fluid Machinery Committee, issued the “Asian Fluid Machinery Distinguished Engineer Award”. Prof. Yuan Shouqi of Jiangsu University, China, Prof. Yoshinodu Tsujimoto of Osaka University, Japan and Prof. Kwang-yong Kim, Inha University, Korea, had won this award. Prof. Yuan Shouqi, Chair of Jiangsu University Committee is the second scholar in Chinese history who has got this award. The first person is Prof. Wu Yulin, Tsinghua University.

Prof. Yuan Shouqi has made outstanding contribution in fluid machinery field of scientific research, international cooperation, and talents cultivation, which made the good reputation for him in the international academic community.
