The Opening Ceremony for JSU ESTIA Sino-French Engineer Experimental Class

On January 9th, the opening ceremony of the experimental class of Jiangsu University-ESTIA Chinese and French engineers was held in the conference center.

President Yan Xiaohong expressed his warm welcome to Mr. Fabien CHAREIX, Consul General of Education of the French Embassy in Shanghai, and Mr. François ELISSALDE, Dean of the French ESTIA School of Engineers. He said that Jiangsu University is a high-level and university with distinct engineering characteristics, international influence, and coordinated development of multiple disciplines. The university upholds the tradition of international education, advocates the concept of running universities that lead the construction of high-level universities with internationalization, and is achieving a new leap in internationalization.

The establishment of the Experimental Class of the Jiangsu University-ESTIA Sino-French Engineer provides students with the opportunity to receive higher education in an internationalized environment, which will surely contribute to the development of first-class engineering technology with international perspectives, knowledge of international rules, and ability to participate in international competition.

In his speech, Mr. François ELISSALDE pointed out that Jiangsu University is the first Chinese university that has collaborated with the ESTIA School of Engineers and highly praised Jiangsu University’s concept of internationalization.

Consul General Fabien CHAREIX, said that the friendship between China and France is profound, which yields long-term friendly cooperation in education, economy and so on. The experimental class of the Jiangsu University-ESTIA Sino-French Engineer is a product of this cooperation and exchange between the universities of the two countries. Mr. Fabien CHAREIX praised the students of the Sino-French experimental class and wished they would graduate as High-quality engineers with vision, social responsibility and international competitiveness.
