A delegation from the University of Leeds visited JSU on May 17th. Vice President Prof. Xu Huaxi along with leaders from the International Office, Faculty of Science and School of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering met with the Leeds delegation which included representatives from the International Office and the College of Math and Physics.
Founded in 1831, the University of Leeds is one of the world's top 100 universities. As one of the best 10 research universities in the field of food science and natural science it is renowned for being a world leader in academic achievement and research results.
Prof. Xu greeted the delegation with a warm welcome and praised the progress of food science research exchange between the two universities. Prof. Stephen Scott thanked Prof. Xu for the warm reception and affirmed the value of international cooperation.
Both parties introduced the development of their univernities and related disciplines. They agreed to expand cooperation, explore programs for undergraduate student exchange and conduct joint graduate education.
During the visit, the delegation visited School of Food and Biological Engineering, and had a meeting with school leadership, teachers and students.
