Indian Consul General of Shanghai Visited JSU

A delegation led by Prakash Gupta, the Consul General of India in Shanghai visited JSU on April 6th. President Yuan Shouqi met the delegation and discussed about cooperation between JSU and Indian universities and research institutes.
President Yuan offered a warm welcome to Consul Gupta. He emphasized that the university attached great importance to Indian universitits and research institutes. At present, JSU enrolled 136 Indian students including 119 undergraduates and 17 graduates. Former JSU students in India organized an alumni association in their homeland. Consul Gupta expressed earnest gratitude for the efforts JSU made for the Indian students. He will promote broader and deeper communication and cooperation in various aspects involving cultural exchanges, language training and cultivation of overseas students.
After the meeting, Consul Gupta met and disscussed with Indian students.
