Vice President Shi Weidong Elected Vice Chairman of Jiangsu Postdoctoral Association

JSU Vice President Shi Weidong was elected as Vice Chairman of the Third Council of the Jiangsu Postdoctoral Association

at the January 11th congressional meeting in Nanjing. Nearly 400 council members from Jiangsu province were in attendance.

The council gathered to reexamine and ratify the constitution of the Jiangsu Postdoctoral Association, the second council Work

Report, and Fund Management.

All together 125 people were elected members of the third council. Prof. Quan Li, Executive Deputy Dean, and Asso. Prof. Lu

Jie, former Deputy Dean of the Graduate School were elected as Council members, marking the recognition enjoyed by the

postdoctoral department at JSU. These appointments also provide more opportunities for cooperation, communication and

support for the development of postdoctoral work.

First established in 1995, the JSU Postdoctoral Research Station has continually improved the discipline structure and nurtured

the development of its growing team of researchers, now numbering over 900 people.
