21st Tri-U Delegates Planting Trees

The delegates of the 21st Tri-University International Seminar and Symposium planted trees at Plum Park on the university campus. Around 30 trees were planted, in response to Chiang Mai University’s call to make up for the effects of academic exchange activities on the environment. Meanwhile, it also catered for the theme of the Tri- University International Joint Seminar & Symposium, that is, to promote a greater role of Asia in the world’s sustainable development.


The Tri-University International Joint Seminar and Symposium was initiated by Mie University of Japan, Chiang Mai University of Thailand and Jiangsu University of China in 1994. It has been held for 21 years, imposing positive effects on enhancing young scholars’ awareness of promoting the harmony between human beings and the environment. The 22ndconference will be held during Oct 18 to 23, 2015 at Jiangsu University. It is a good platform for students, scientists and engineers to conduct exchanges focusing upon the following topics: (1) Population, (2) Food, (3) Environment, (4) Energy and (5) Internationalization of higher education.
