At the meeting, Prof. Yuan briefed our university to the delegation, including the history, disciplines and strength as well as great achievements in the field of scientific research, talent cultivation, esp. education of overseas students.

Hon. Bol Makueng Youl was very grateful for the warm welcome. He states that South Sudan had a long history of friendship with China although it was a newly-established country. It has gained support for oil exploration and hospital construction from China. He sincerely hoped that this visit would promote the cooperation between universities of China and South Sudan. Mr. Monday Kumba followed with a short introduction of diplomatic ties and educational cooperation between the two countries, supplemented by five chancellors with their universities’ information. All of them expressed their wishes to conduct specific cooperation in the field of staff training and exchange student’s scholarship under the framework of MOU.
