October 29, Prof. Li Yi, a part-time professor at the INRS-Insitut Armand-Frappier in Quebec, Canada and a part-time professor and PhD supervisor of Jiangsu University delivered a lecture in Jiangsu University titled “The molecular biology of the human bocavirus (HBoV1) )”. In his lecture on the human bocavirus—a newly discovered virus that mainly infect the babies and small children, Prof. Li Yi introduced the latest achievements in research approaches to human bocavirus, the genome of human bocavirus, the regulation of its gene expression, its protein function analysis, etc.

Prof. Li Yi made great progress in the closing construction and genetic function of the human bocavirus infection and published a series of papers in top-notch periodicals like s Pathogens and Journal of Virology. Besides serving as a part-time professor at the INRS-Insitut Armand-Frappier in Quebec, Canada, Prof. Li Yi held other professional affiliations like member of the Parvovirus Subfamily of the International Committee on Taxonomy of Viruses (ICTV), editing commissioner of PLoSONE, councilor of Hubei Society of Cell Biology, and standing councilor of Hubei Society of Immunology.
