July 4, Prof. Kim Hyoung-bum at Gyeongsang National University of South Korea visited Jiangsu University and gave a lecture entitled “Non-transparent liquid flow field test based on ultrasound technology”. The lecture was attended by Prof. Pan Jianfeng, Associate Prof. Liu Dong and other faculties and students from the School of

Energy & Power Engineering.

In his report, Prof. Kim Hyoung-bum introduces the ultrasound technology for non-transparent liquid flow test, including ultrasonic particle imaging velocimetry and ultrasonic Doppler velocimetry. Moreover, Prof. Kim Hyoung-bum held talks with and answered questions raised by the audience.

Prof. Kim Hyoung-bum’s main research fields are non-contact fluid measurement and fluid flow control, etc. He initiated the ultrasonic particle imaging velocimetry in the world and published more than papers in top international periodicals.
