June 21, Prof. Liu Yue at the University of Texas at Austin of the US gave a lecture entitled “The stability of multi-peak solitions” in F4 Conference Room of the Faculty of Science of Jiangsu University. In his lecture, Prof. Liu elaborates on the finite time blow-up of solutions to the integrable modified Camssa-Holm equation, focusing on the stability of soliton solutions and detailing the existence of solutions with multiple peak solitons, their uniqueness and continuous dependence on the initial value. Prof. Liu’s lecture was full of novel ideas but simple explanations, and shed light on the latest development and achievements in his research field.

Prof. Liu Yue is mainly interested in exploring the well-posedness of several shallow water wave models with soliton solutions, the blow-up of solutions and holistic existence, the stability of soliton solutions and the stability of soliton solutions in the field of fluid mechanics. He has published several papers in important mathematics periodicals.
