September 26, Prof. Charles L. Wilson, a world-famous specialist in biological control of postharvest vegetable and fruit diseases, delivered an academic speech to students and faculties of Jiangsu University titled “Past, present and future development of biological control of postharvest plant diseases”.

As the initiator and founder of the discipline of biological control of postharvest vegetable and fruit diseases and with 45 years of his career life devoted to frontier issues of the biological science, Prof. Charles L. Wilson has published over 200 academic papers, 6 monographs and owns 18 US-authorized patents for invention. He was once professor at the University of Arkansas, visiting professor respectively of the Ohio State University and the University of Virginia, and worked in the Agricultural Research Institute affiliated to the Agricultural Department of the American government for more than 36 years. In 2006, he founded WILSON International Technological Transfer Consultation Corporation that offers consultation services to research institutions.
