Professor Suresh K.Aggarwal, from University of Illinois at Chicago, was pointed a part-time professor of Jiangsu University on May 13. Vice president, research professor Shi Weidong, attended the appointing ceremony, issued the American professor a letter of appointment and pinned a Jiangsu University badge for him. The ceremony was chaired by Professor Wang Qian, dean of School of Energy & Power Engineering. Teachers and students from School of Energy & Power Engineering attended the ceremony. At the ceremony, professor Aggarwal vividly interpreted the essence of combustion science. After the ceremony, professor Aggarwal will teach the course of Combustion for some undergraduates and graduate students of School of Energy & Power Engineering and School of Automobile and Traffic Engineering. The medium of instruction will be English, and the instruction will last three weeks and have 24 periods. After class, he will have some academic exchanges with related teachers and students and give them some professional guidance.
