Prof. Xu Boqiang attends ISEM-ACEM-SEM-7th ISEM12 in Taiwan

The 2nd ISEM (International Symposium on Experimental Mechanics), the 11th ACEM (Asian Conference on Experimental Mechanics), ISEM-ACEM-SEM-7th ISEM’12 (2012 Society for Experimental Mechanics Fall Conference and 7th International Symposium on Advanced Science and Technology in Experimental Mechanics) were jointly held in Taiwan, China from November 4 to 11, 2012. At the invitation of National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan Professor Wei-Chung Wang, one of the conference organizers, professor Xu Boqiang, doctoral supervisor of solid mechanics, vice dean of Faculty of Science attended the conference and served as the chairman of the session “Nondestructive Testing and Evaluation”. At the conference, over 100 scholars from more than 10 countries and regions discussed the advanced problems of the experimental mechanics field and shared the latest achievements in academic research of dynamic testing and measurement, fracture and fatigue measurements, hybrid techniques, MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) design, nondestructive testing and evaluation and so on. Professor Xu made a report titled “The Study of Surface Corrosion Defect Detection from a Circular Tapered Depth Profile Defect in Plates by Using of Lamb Waves” and had an academic exchange with other participants.
