Graz Confucius Institute takes part in Open Day at Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz

On April 12, Graz Confucius Institute took part in Open Day, an activity organized by Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz. Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz is a comprehensive university ranking 2nd in Austria, with an enrollment of 20,000 students. In April each year, this university holds Open Day for senior high school students ready to apply for university study and their parents. On this day, there will be introductions on its academic colleges and schools, research achievements, international cooperative programs and so on.

The exhibition stand for Graz Confucius Institute was located in the center of RESOWI a teaching center of Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz. Besides introductions about it and its Chinese courses, Graz Confucius Institute focused on the promotion of China Day that would be held recently in six high schools in Graz and the surrounding areas, building up to Confucius Courses to be established in Steiermark. Jiangsu University also provided brochures for various Chinese cultural programs and exchange programs.

About 1000 high school students took part in Open Day from all states of Austria and its neighboring countries such as the Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia and so on. Staff members from Graz Confucius Institute gave a detailed introduction on the Chinese study program, HSK exam, Chinese Bridge Summer Camp, Confucius Institute Scholarship Program and so on. A lot of students and their parents were attracted and hoped to take part in Chinese study program and China’s cultural activities by themselves.
