Yesterday the ceremony of appointing A.Bührig-Polaczek a part-time professor of Jiangsu University was held at the 3rd Lecture Hall of Conference Center of Jiangsu University. A.Bührig-Polaczek, a tenured professor, is the director of Foundry Institute of RWTH Aachen University. Professor A.Bührig-Polaczek’s research covers solidifying theory & advanced solidifying technology, high performance alloy & strengthening, casting technology & moulds. He has chaired and participated in not a few key research projects in Germany. At the ceremony, vice president Cheng Xiaonong granted professor A.Bührig-Polaczek a letter of appointment and pinned a Jiangsu University emblem for him. After the ceremony, professor A.Bührig-Polaczek delivered a lecture about the current research of RWTH Aachen Foundry Institute.
