Japanese musician Shigemi Yoshioka and kabuki artist Hikogorou Bandou pay a visit to JU

March 22-23, well-known Japanese musician Ms.Shigemi Yoshioka and Mr. Hikogorou Bandou, the 12th generation inheritor of Japanese kabuki, paid a two-day visit to Jiangsu University.

Entrusted by Zhenjiang Municipal Government, Jiangsu University International Office and School of Foreign Languages made preparations for the visit. The visitors made two lectures and one concert. Graduated from Vocal Music Department of School of Education, Musashino Academia Musicae, and Preschool Education Department of Graduate School , Japan Women's University, Ms Shigemi Yoshioka ever pursued advanced studies of Afro-American music and piano improvisation. Currently she is a professor of Bunri University of Hospitality. She is professionally active not only in Japan, but also in the world. This event is a good chance for the teaching staff and students of Jiangsu University to learn Japanese culture , and it has contributed to the non-governmental exchanges between Jiangsu University and Japanese people.
