From May 21 to 22, Vice-Rector of Termez State University Gafur Togaev, and Director of the International Affairs Office of Denau University of Entrepreneurship and Education Babor Togaev paid a visit to Jiangsu University (JSU). JSU leaders including President Zou Xiaobo, and Vice President Chen Feng met with the delegation.

Zou Xiaobo extended a warm welcome to the guests. He stated that JSU has always attached great importance to cooperation with institutions of higher education in Central Asia, and has built a solid foundation in student training and scientific research. JSU is ready to expand cooperation areas with the two Uzbek universities and further deepen joint talent training, faculty and student exchanges as well as scientific research collaboration.

Gafur Togaev spoke highly of JSU’s achievements in discipline development and international cooperation. He expressed the hope to strengthen collaboration in talent training, student exchange and joint training programs. Babor Togaev looked forward to more practical cooperation in the future.


After the meeting, Chen Feng held in-depth discussions with the delegation on cooperation details. Both sides agreed to advance the establishment and development of the Jiangsu University College at Termez State University, draw up a phased schedule, and steadily carry out follow-up work.
During the visit, the delegation held discussions with heads of the International Office, Overseas Education College, and relevant academic schools, addressing topics such as the operational mechanisms of joint training programs, curriculum design, and academic program expansion. They also visited Overseas Education College, School of Foreign Languages, School of Design and Art, School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, as well as the library, the university history museum, and the international student dormitories. In addition, the delegation had a special discussion with students enrolled in the 1+1 joint master’s program from Termez State University at School of Foreign Languages, learning about their study and daily life.
Founded in 1954, Termez State University is located in Termez, the capital of Surxondaryo Region, Uzbekistan. As a leading comprehensive public university in the region, it offers disciplines including natural sciences, engineering, design, teacher education and linguistics, with around 22,000 enrolled students. This visit marks an important milestone in our university’s efforts in recent years to promote cooperation with Uzbek universities and launch the 1+1 joint master’s programs.
