On March 11, the representative of Arizona State University (ASU) on the Chinese region Li Siyan, accompanied by the Deputy Head of the Runzhou District People's Government Li Desheng, visited Jiangsu University (JSU). Secretary of the CPC Jiangsu University (JSU) Committee Li Hongbo met with the delegation, accompanied by the representatives from International Office.
Li Hongbo introduced the basic situation and schooling characteristics of JSU. Director of International Office Cui Yong, added with the achievements in joint student cultivation and international scientific research cooperation. Li Siyan provided an overview of Arizona State University and highlighted its accomplishments in educational and technological innovation, as well as industry-university-research cooperation. Ling Yun, a distinguished alumnus of the Thunderbird School of Global Management at ASU and a member of the Science and Technology Committee of the Central Committee of China Zhi Gong Party, shared examples of educational exchanges and cooperation between ASU and Chinese universities.
Through friendly exchanges, both parties have reached a consensus on promoting exchanges and cooperation in areas such as talent cultivation, scientific research innovation, and cultural exchanges. Both parties expressed their intention to further strengthen communication and coordination, refine cooperation plans, and facilitate the implementation of substantive cooperation projects, jointly cultivating high-quality innovative talents with an international perspective.
The delegation also visited Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Manufacturing Institute of JSU (national-level modern industry college and a national-level teaching demonstration center), Laboratory of National Research Center of Pumps of JSU, as well as the educational and teaching Facilities and library on the Changshan campus. They gained a deep understanding of JSU's research strength and teaching conditions in the fields of intelligent manufacturing and fluid machinery, and spoke highly of JSU's educational level and research platform.
