Jiangsu University and University of Bangka Belitung Signed Cooperation Agreement

On October 29, Rector of the University of Bangka Belitung (UBB), Indonesia Dr. Ibrahim led a delegation to visit Jiangsu University (JSU). Vice President of JSU Prof. Cai Yingfeng met with the delegation.

The meeting was attended by Chairman of the Central Executive Board of Greater Indonesia Nature Association Mr. Wilijanto, Dean of Faculty of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Marine Sciences of UBB Mr. Riwan Kusmiadi Samin, Head of Research Center (LPPM) of UBB Ms. Eries Dyah Mustikarini, as well as leaders from relevant departments of JSU, including International Office, School of the Environment and Safety Engineering and School of Food and Biological Engineering.

Vice President Cai Yingfeng reviewed the history of collaboration between JSU and Indonesian higher education institutions, as well as the progress in educational cooperation and exchanges. She provided an overview of JSU's development and achievements in internationalization, expressing the hope to further deepen cooperation in such areas as scientific research, the cultivation of globally competent talents, and academic exchanges. She emphasized the importance of diversifying collaboration formats and elevating the level of partnership to jointly open a new chapter in bilateral cooperation.

Rector Ibrahim introduced the development history, student scale, and international cooperation initiatives of UBB. He expressed the desire to pursue substantive collaboration in faculty training, scientific research, and student exchanges.

Both sides engaged in discussions and exchanges on specific cooperation in fields of food safety and environmental security, etc..

Based on the previous contact and exchange, JSU and UBB signed the Memorandum of Agreement.


During their visit, the delegation also toured library and visited relevant laboratories of School of Food and Biological Engineering and School of the Environment and Safety Engineering, where they observed scientific research platforms and innovative achievements.
