Ambassador of Republic of Kenya in People's Republic of China visited JSU

On March 31, the Ambassador of Republic of Kenya in People's Republic of China H.E. Willy Bett visited Jiangsu University (JSU). Secretary of the CPC Jiangsu University (JSU) Committee Li Hongbo and Vice President of JSU Prof. Cai Yingfeng met the Ambassador, accompanied by the Director of the International Office of JSU.


Secretary Li Hongbo delivered a welcome speech on behalf of JSU, introduced the university's discipline advantages and achievements in international development, and the cooperation with Kenyan universities. He stated that the cooperation between China and Kenya has yielded fruitful results. JSU is willing to engage in practical cooperation and deepen exchanges with Kenyan universities, and strengthen cooperation in disciplines such as agricultural technology, food science, and medical health; actively carry out the "the Belt and Road" joint training project for teachers to cultivate high-level talents for Kenya; carry out education and language and cultural exchanges, promote the exchange and mutual learning of traditional Chinese culture and Kenyan culture, and make greater contributions to the friendly relations and common development of the two countries.

Ambassador H.E. Willy Bett expressed gratitude for the warm reception of JSU, said that Kenya and China have close exchanges in various fields, especially in the humanities and education. He expressed his gratitude to JSU for cultivating numerous outstanding talents for Kenya. The Embassy Republic of Kenya in People's Republic of China is willing to promote the strengthening of cooperation between Kenyan universities and JSU, deepen cooperation through the establishment of research centers and joint training of high-level talents, and promote mutual benefit and win-win outcomes.

After the meeting, Ambassador H.E. Willy Bett met the Kenyan international students of JSU, and visited the Intelligent Agricultural Machinery Equipment Laboratory.
