Recently, the national finals of the 2023 China University Students Mechanical Engineering Innovation and Creativity Competition – Material Heat Treatment Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was held in Jiangsu University of Science and Technology. The 6 teams from Jiangsu University (JSU) won prizes, with 3 first prizes (2 from undergraduate group and 1 from postgraduate group), 2 second prizes (1 from undergraduate group and 1 from postgraduate group) and 1 third prize (from undergraduate group).

Hosted by Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, this event was jointly organized by Chinese Heat Treatment Society and Jiangsu University of Science and Technology. It was supported by Jiangsu Mechanical Engineering Society, Jiangsu Heat Treatment Society, Jiangsu Materials Research Society and School of Materials Science & Engineering of Jiangsu University of Science and Technology. A total of 1118 items from 184 universities nationwide were submitted since the launch of this competition in February this year. Among them, 647 were from undergraduate groups and 471 from graduate groups. 4693 students registered for the competition.
Guided by the principle of “strengthening foundation, promoting integration and focusing on breakthroughs” and the concept of “applying theories to practice and making the greatest achievements”, China University Students Material Heat Treatment Innovation and Entreprenurship Competition is a nationwide event for university students majoring in Materials Science & Engineering. Listed in the Ranking List of National University Disciplinery Competitions for 4 consecutive years, it has drawn widespread concern among universities and companies. Students of JSU have made outstanding performance in this event, which demonstrates its solid foundation and innovation in material heat treatment.
