Hosted by China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE), the 24th China Annual Conference for International Education and Expo (CACIE 2023) was held at the China National Convention Center in Beijing from October 26 to 28. The conference released the list of universities and colleges passing the certification and recertification of Higher General Education Accreditation for International Students in China (HGEAIS). Jiangsu University (JSU) passed the recertification with Grade A, and was awarded with an 8-year validity period of accreditation. Vice President of JSU Prof. Cai Yingfeng, on behalf of JSU, received the certificate.
JSU is the only provincial university of the 7 universities and colleges having received an 8-year validity period of accreditation certificate, while the others are “Double First-Class” universities.
As one of the first 27 universities and colleges having passed the HGEAIS and the first having received recertification, JSU attaches great importance to education for international students. It adheres to the principle of internationalization development, actively engages in the Education Action Plan for the Belt and Road Initiative, and incorporates education for international students into its development plan. In terms of the education for international students, JSU enjoys the highest ranking in Jiangsu province in enrolment, cultivation level and quality, and achieves good demonstration effects in the cultivation idea, pattern, system and achievements for local universities in China.
