On Nov. 15, Clarivate Analytics released the 2023 Global Highly Cited Researchers list, with 6,849 scientists from more than 1,300 institutions in 67 countries and regions around the world selected, including 1,275 from Chinese mainland.
Five professors from Jiangsu University (JSU) are selected into the list, respectively, Prof. Ma Haile from the School of Food and Biological Engineering, Prof. Li Huaming from the Energy Research Institute, Prof. Xu Hui from the School of Environment and Safety Engineering, Prof. Ding Shihong from the School of Electrical and Information Engineering, Prof. Xia Jiexiang from the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering.
The 2023 Global Highly Cited Researchers list selects top scientific talents from universities, research institutes, and commercial organizations around the world who have a significant and broad impact on their research fields. This year's list is based on the number of highly cited papers published between January 2012 and December 2022. The selection method was based on the rigorous evaluation and collation of the data of highly cited papers in SCIE and SSCI journals by bibliometric experts from the Institute of Scientific Information of Clarivate Analytics, covering 188,500 highly cited papers in various disciplines.
