The appointment ceremony of Deputy Chief Designer of Harbin Electric Power Equipment Co., Ltd. Cai Long as the visiting professor of Jiangsu University (JSU) was held on May 11. Secretary of the CPC Jiangsu University Committee Prof. Yuan Shouqi hosted the ceremony, and teachers and students from School of Energy and Power Engineering, and Research Center of Fluid Machinery Engineering and Technology attended the ceremony.

Prof. Yuan conferred Cai Long the certificate of JSU visiting professor, pinned a university badge for him, and conferred him a certificate of editorial board member of Journal of Drainage and Irrigation Machinery Engineering. It is hoped to deepen the cooperation between the company and JSU and make greater contribution to the development of Chinese nuclear power technology.
After the ceremony, Prof. Cai delivered an academic lecture for the teachers and students. In the lecture, Cai elaborated the localization, research and development system, and key technologies of nuclear main pumps. Prof. Cai said that we can contribute to the long-term control of our country’s nuclear power technology through establishing an innovation consortium and making full use of one’s own advantages.
