On Jan. 25, 2020, the top-level response to public health emergencies in Jiangsu province has been launched. Until Feb. 5th, 2020, there were 6 work meetings of university level on the prevention and control of pneumonia caused by the novel coronavirus were held on campus,  implementing the relevant requirements of the CPC Central Committee, the State Council, the Ministry of Education, Jiangsu Provincial Government, Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education and our university. Which made specific arrangements for prevention and control of pneumonia caused by the novel coronavirus, and focus on the campus security defense to effectively guarantee the health and life safety of the teachers and students.

JSU set up a leading work team to deal with the epidemic situation of pneumonia caused by the novel coronavirus, which consists of 14 sub-teams: comprehensive coordination, publicity, students affairs, overseas students affairs, teachers affairs, international affairs, security affairs, logistics support affairs, medical prevention & emergency response affairs, undergraduate teaching affairs, graduate teaching affairs, affiliated school affairs, staff living affairs and supervision. For foreign teachers and postdocs, according to the principle of "who hires/invites who is responsible", Contact Person in JSU for them has been defined one by one. Who will keep in touch with them on their physical and living condition, travel information every day, inform them about epidemic situation, and give concern and help.
