President Itou Masahito of Nagoya Sangyo University Visits JSU

President Itou Masahito of Nagoya Sangyo University, Japan, visited Jiangsu University on March 1^st. Vice President Chen Long met President Masahito. Representatives from the International Office, Overseas Education College and the School of the Environment and Safety Engineering attended the meeting.

Vice President Chen Long greeted President Masahito with a warm reception and gave a presentation on developments at JSU. President Masahito gave a brief introduction of Nagoya Sangyo University.

The meeting was also an opportunity to come to agreement on collaboration between two universities. Consensus was also reached on issues of talent cultivation, scholarly visit and cooperation, joint training for researchers in the environmental fields, research tie up, the summer language program and the joint declaration of short-term study project.

During the visit, Prof. Itou Masahito was appointed visiting professor of JSU, and gave an academic report entitled "Research status of environmental education to carry out the monitoring of CO₂concentrations and the development direction in the future based on the academic report".
