JSU Agricultural Science in Top 1% of ESI Global Rankings

The American scientific index ESI (Essential Science Indicators) placed the JSU Agricultural Science in the top 1% of global rankings for 2016.

This is the 5th discipline in JSU to be ranked in the top 1% including Clinical Medicine, Chemical Science, Engineering, and Material Science.

JSU is now tied for the 34th place ranking among universities in China and stands at 4th place in Jiangsu Province.The other four disciplines

entering the top 1% of ESI also considerable progress and make a great promotion in the international rankings. Compared with the same period last year, clinical medicine moved up 353 places in the rankings, 183 of chemical, 104 of engineering, and 86 of materials

science.

In recent years, with the further development of the national, provincial and scholastic 3rd level key disciplines construction in our university,

our disciplines’ comprehensive strength and its international influence enhance continuously. Some of them have gain domestic

and international influence, providing a solid underpinning for constructing a ‘high level, distinctive and international research-oriented university’.
