On Sept. 9th, Prof. Atsumasa Uchida, president of Mie University paid a visit to our University. Prof. Yuan Shouqi met with him and the two presidents agreed to further deepen the two universities’ cooperation.

Based on thorough communication, both parties reached an agreement on promoting graduate dual degree programs, enlarging the mobility of both teachers and students, and strengthening academic exchanges.

Prof. Uchida visited Jiangsu University Museum, where he got a vivid and comprehensive understanding about our university’s historical achievements and current schooling vision. Prof. Uchida also attended the meeting with teachers and students from Japanese Department, who once studied at Mie University.

Mie University has a long history of friendly relationship with our university. The two parties initiated the yearly Tri-U International Jointly Seminar and Symposium with Chiang Mai University, Thailand in 1994, which turned out to be an influential international communication platform for university students to take part in academic and intercultural exchanges. In addition, Tsu, where the Mie University is located, is the sister city of Zhenjiang.
