Professor Peter Spencer at Oregon Health & Science University of the US visits the School of Medical

May 11, Professor Peter Spencer at the Medical School of OHSU visits the School of Medical Science and Laboratory Medicine of JU where academic exchanges were conducted on the subject of toxicity, neurodegenerative diseases and health inspection. During the activities, Professor Spencer elaborated on nerve paralysis of N-hexane poisoning and poisoning mechanism, introduced his epidemiologic research achievements in investigating the causes for “Nodding Syndrome” now being carried out among African children, and discussed with students of Jiangsu University on how to establish and identify an etiological hypothesis.

Professor Spencer is currently a neurological specialist at the Medical School of OHSU, a senior scientist at the Professional Health Science Center of OHSU and the initiator and director of the former Professional and Environment Toxicology Research Center and Global Health Center. He is now hired as part-time professor by the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Fudan University, and so on.
