Sergey M. Vdovin, Rector of Ogarev Mordovia State University visits JU

April 16, Sergey M. Vdovin, Rector of Ogarev Mordovia State University of Russia and his team paid a friendly visit to Jiangsu University. The Russian visitors were interviewed by both Prof. Fan Ming, Secretary of the Party Committee of Jiangsu University and Prof. Yuan Shouqi, President of Jiangsu University.

During the meeting, after recalling his visit to Ogarev Mordovia State University last year, Prof. Fan Ming expressed wishes to seize the opportunity of “China-Russia Youth Year” to quicken the cooperation and exchanges between the two universities. The Russian rector responded by expressing wishes to carry out substantial cooperation and exchanges as soon as possible. After the meeting, in the 2nd Lecture Hall of the International Conference Center talks were held between the Russian visitors and Prof. Yuan Shouqi, President of Jiangsu University. President Yuan Shouqi gave a panoramic introduction to the guests of Jiangsu University’s history, profile, discipline setting, features and strengths, and internalization strategy. In turn Mr. Sergey M. Vdovin introduced his university. Both parties expressed wishes to carry out cooperation in specialty and vantage disciplines and reached a preliminary agreement on cooperation and exchanges in the postgraduate programs of agricultural engineering and electrical engineering.

During their stay in Jiangsu University, the Russian guests, headed by President Yuan Shouqi, visited the History Museum of Jiangsu University, the University campus, the Institute of Agricultural Engineering and its laboratories, the School of Electrical and Information Engineering and its labaratories, and the Apartment House for Overseas Students.
