JU delegates attend the 4th Roundtable Conference on China-Africa Cooperation

November 20-22, the 4th Roundtable Conference on China-Africa Cooperation sponsored by the Association of Former Diplomats of China was held in Wanning, Hainan province, China. Present at the meeting were over 400 representatives, including Mr. Samuel Daniel Shafiishuna Nujoma, former President of the Republic of Namibia, Mr. Moussa Traoré, former Acting President of the Republic of Mali, envoys and diplomats in China of 47 African countries, Ms. Gu Xiulian, Vice-chairman of the National People's Congress (NPC), Mr. Huang Mengfu, Vice Chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), and heads of China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Commerce, and Ministry of Agriculture.

Jiangsu University delegation is the only one invited among the colleges and universities of China. Representatives from Jiangsu University include Mr. Li Zhongxing, Director of the International Office, Ms. Gao Jing, Dean of the Overseas Education College, Mr. Sui Jian, Dean of the School of Clinical Medicine, and Dr. Cui Hengwu, a member of the 11th group of military medical experts sent to aid Africa from China. During the meeting, Jiangsu University delegates contacted and communicated extensively with the other participants of the meeting, expressed the strong will of Jiangsu University to develop good relations with other countries, and negotiated with related parties on offering educational programs to African students, thus promoting the fame and enlarging the international space for educational cooperation of Jiangsu University.
