Delegation Back from the 20th Tri-U IJSS with Glory

On Nov. 2, thedelegation for the 20th Tri-U International Joint Seminar and Symposium (Tri-U IJSS) comprising 8 staff members and 17 students, headed by Prof. Yuan Shouqi, our President came back with glory. Prof. Yuan was awarded Prize for Excellent Contribution and two of our student participants got Best Student Presentation Awards.

The 20th Tri-U IJSS was held at Mie University, Japan, hosting over 120 staff and student participants of 20 universities from 9 countries. Among all the papers submitted by student participants, only 7 were picked out after paper review, poster and PPT presentation as well as Q&A on the spot and awarded as the best ones. Ms. Li Wenyao from School of Automotive and Traffic Engineering and Mr. Wei Haohan from School of Computer Science and Communication Engineering finally distinguished themselves from other student participants, demonstrating the highly scholarly and ethical standards of students from JU.

Tri-U IJSS was initiated by Jiangsu University (China), Mie University (Japan) and Chiang Mai University (Thailand) in 1994, setting such regular four themes as Population, Food, Energy and Environment. And the hosting university may add one more theme at its own discretion. ESD (Education of Sustainable Development) was the newly added theme by Mie University this year.
