Vice President Steve O. Michael of Arcadia University visits JU

October 25, Vice President Steve O. Michael of Arcadia University of the United States and his delegation paid a friendly visit to Jiangsu University. They were welcomed by Prof. Chen Long, Vice President of Jiangsu University. Talks were held in the 3rd Lecture Hall of the International Meeting Center between the universities, attended by more than 80 students of the International Class of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics from the Faculty of Science.

During the talks, Grace, the Chinese representative of Arcadia University introduced to students and faculties present at the meeting the history, status quo, discipline setting, professional features and strengths, and the international strategy of Arcadia University. Vice President Steve O. Michael answered specific questions raised by Jiangsu University students concerning the credit transfer, ways to file an application, etc.

The International Class of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics of the Faculty of Science is an international training program jointly sponsored by Jiangsu University and Arcadia University. According to the agreement between the two universities, after three years’ study in Jiangsu University, the qualified students will further their education in Arcadia University to finish the fourth year’s learning of the undergraduate courses before they granted the certificate of graduation and the certificate of degree by Jiangsu University and Arcadia University.
