On the afternoon of October 15, Ikeda Sogo, President of the Bureau of International Zen Cultural Exchange Affairs headed his team to visit Jiangsu University, accompanied by Li Jinfang, Vice Director of Zhenjiang Municipal Bureau of Commerce. President Ikeda Sogo was welcomed by Chen Long, Vice President of Jiangsu University, who attended the business meeting as well. Vice President Chen Long introduced to the visitors the historical development, major principles, professional features and advantages, international cooperation and exchange, etc. of Jiangsu University. Then President Ikeda Sogo briefed the progress of the zen culture thematic tourism project. A heated discussion was carried out between the two parties on how to promote the cooperation between Jiangsu University and related universities in Japan in joint training of students and studies on pharmacy. Both parties agreed on putting the cooperation plan into practice as soon as possible.

Present at the meeting were leaders concerned from the International Office and the School of Pharmacy.
