Prof. Miguel Cámara from the University of Nottingham hired as part-time professor at JU

October 10, a ceremony was held in the meeting center of Jiangsu University appointing Prof. Miguel Cámara from the University of Nottingham as part-time professor of Jiangsu University, followed by an academic report given by the appointed professor.

The ceremony was chaired by Chen Keping, a research fellow at and Dean of the Institute of Life Sciences. The lecture given by Prof. Miguel Cámara is titled “Quorum sensing, a universal language in the microbial world with an increasing impact on diverse fields of science”, giving an introduction to the research progress in the field of microbial quorum sensing of him and his research team. Nearly 100 students and faculties from the Institute of Life Sciences listened to the lecture and entered into academic exchanges with the speaker.

During his stay in Jiangsu University, Prof. Miguel Cámara also had a detailed discussion with head of the International Office on promoting the cooperation between Jiangsu University and the University of Nottingham.
