On March 31, Vice-Rector of University of Novi Sad Prof. Biljana Pajin, Professor of Technical Institute Jaroslav Katona, Prefessor of Faculty of Agriculture of University of Belgrade Viktor Nedović, and Dean of Faculty of Technology of University of Niš Prof. Dragiša Savić, visited Jiangsu University (JSU). President of JSU Prof. Xing Weihong and Vice President of JSU Prof. Zou Xiaobo met with the delegation. Leaders of president's office and International Office attended the meeting.

On behalf of JSU, President Prof. Xing Weihong welcomed the delegation, pointing out that 2025 marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Serbia, and this visit is of great significance for deepening the scientific, technological and cultural exchanges between the universities of the two countries. She recalled the feeling of visiting University of Niš last year, expressed her gratitude to Serbian universities for their strong support to the Confucius Institute at University of Niš, congratulated the University of Novi Sad and JSU on the joint approval of the National Key R&D Program "Intergovernmental International Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation", and hoped that JSU and Serbian universities would further consolidate their cooperative relations and achieve more cooperation results in the field of agriculture and food.

On behalf of the delegation, Vice-Rector Prof. Biljana Pajin expressed her gratitude for the reception of JSU and expressed high appreciation for the campus environment and learning atmosphere of JSU. She introduced the basic situation and department characteristics of the University of Novi Sad, affirmed the joint laboratory of sustainable agri-food engineering and advanced materials jointly established by the two universities, and looked forward to closer scientific research cooperation and personnel exchanges and visits with JSU around smart agriculture and agricultural product processing.

Prof. Viktor Nedović expressed his hope to learn more about Chinese enterprises through JSU and carry out industry-university-research cooperation in the field of agriculture and food.

Prof. Dragiša Savić stated that this visit to JSU is his first trip to China, and he looks forward to experiencing the development speed of China on the spot, gaining a deep understanding of the excellent experience of Chinese universities in scientific research and talent cultivation, and using the joint construction of Confucius Institutes by JSU and University of Niš as a link to further promote scientific and cultural cooperation between the two universities.

The visit of the Serbian university delegation is a concrete manifestation of the "strong friendship" between the two countries in the field of scientific and technological cooperation. JSU will continue to consolidate its cooperation with various universities in Serbia, promote cultural exchanges between China and Serbia, enhance mutual trust, and cultivate friendship.
