On March 31, the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina in People's Republic of China H. E. Sinisa Berjan, and the Vice President of University of East Sarajevo Prof. Marco Gutal visited Jiangsu University (JSU). President of JSU Prof. Xing Weihong and Vice President of JSU Prof. Zou Xiaobo met the delegation, accompanied by the Director of the International Office and a foreign teacher from Bosnia and Herzegovina of JSU.

President Prof. Xing Weihong delivered a welcome speech on behalf of JSU, introduced the university's disciplinary advantages and achievements in international development. She stated that 2025 marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and this visit is of great significance for deepening scientific and technological cooperation and cultural exchanges between the two countries' universities. She expressed her gratitude to Ambassador H. E. Sinisa Berjan and the Vic President of the University of East Sarajevo for their strong support for the establishment of the "Belt and Road" International Joint Laboratory of Smart Agricultural Technology and Equipment, and hoped that JSU and the University of East Sarajevo and other Bosnian universities would further cooperate closely to break through the common problems in the field of smart agricultural technology and equipment and benefit the people of the two countries.

Ambassador H. E. Sinisa Berjan expressed gratitude for the warm reception of JSU, said that China's scientific and technological innovation has promoted the progress of the world, and China's modernization model has provided an example for countries around the world, including Bosnia and Herzegovina, to learn from. The University of East Sarajevo and other universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina and JSU have broad prospects for cooperation in talent training and scientific and technological innovation, and he hopes that through this exchange, Bosnia and Herzegovina universities and JSU will further promote more scientific research results.

JSU will take this visit as an opportunity to continue deepening exchanges and cooperation with universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the field of smart agriculture technology and equipment, and jointly promote Sino-Bosnia and Herzegovina technological innovation.
