Recently, Jiangsu Provincial People's Government issued a decision on the Jiangsu Provincial Awards for Science and Technology for the year 2022. 14 scientific and technological achievements of Jiangsu University (JSU) won awards. The total number of awards for achievements led by JSU ranked No.3 among all the universities in Jiangsu province, and ranked No. 1 among all the universities under the administration of Jiangsu provincial government.

Two achievements of JSU won first prizes. One is Key Technology and Engineering Application of Laser Deposition Composite Manufacturing of High-performance Complex Components, of which Prof. Lu Jinzhong was the leading researcher. Another is Basic Research on Autoimmune Disease and Engineered Cell Intervention, and Prof. Qian Hui's team participated in the research of the project.

In recent years, JSU has adhered to the innovation-driven development strategy. The scientific research teams, focusing on the urgent needs of the industries, have strengthened breakthroughs in core technologies in key fields, continuously improved the ability of scientific and technological innovation, and produced iconic prize-winning sci-tech achievements, which has increased JSU’s reputation in relevant industries.
