On November 6^th, 2019, Prof. Yan Xiaohong, President of Jiangsu University, Chairman of the International Talent Cultivation Association and the International Alliance of Agricultural Equipment (production) International Cooperation, attended the 2^nd China International Import Expo. He was also invited to attend the launching ceremony of Industrial Development Report 2020 of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and met with Mr. Philipp Scholtes, Executive Director of UNIDO.

Prof. Yan Xiaohong and Mr. Philipp Scholtes made the warmly and friendly communication and frank exchange of views on The Belt & Road agricultural machinery talents cultivation, international government-industry-university cooperation, Sino-foreign joint programs, and internship and practice in international organizations. Mr. Philipp Scholtes highly commended JSU for its continuous cooperation with UNIDO all these years, actively promoting industry-university integration in The Belt & Road initiative, and initiating the cultivating of agricultural machinery talents for developing countries. He would help promote the implementation of the strategic cooperation framework agreement between the UNIDO and our university, and hopes JSU play a unique role in foreign technical assistance, and promote industrial cooperation and economic transition in developing countries.
