University of North Carolina professor makes an academic speech

On the afternoon of June 27, at the invitation of School of Computer Science University of North Carolina professor Zheng Yuliang, Father of Signcryption, made an academic speech entitled “ Signcryption—from its invention to Becoming an International Standard” in No 1 Lecture Hall of Conference Center.Professor Zheng is a world-renowned cryptographist, computer security specialist and the inventor of signcryption. In 1991, he earned his Ph.D degree at Yokohama National University, then worked at Wollongong University and Monash University. In 2001, as one of the Top 10 Computer Security Experts in the World he joined University of North Carolina at Charlotte. A member of not a few steering committees of well-known international conferences on password and information security, he has published 200 academic papers, and owns a few international patents.
