Prof. Chen De of the Norwegian Engineering Institute Visited JSU

Prof. Chen De, Academician of the Norwegian Engineering Institute fromthe Norwegian University of Science and Technology visited JSU on March 15^th. During the visit, Prof. Chen De was retained as JSU’s part-time professor of JSU.

Prof. Chen also gave an academic report entitledthe Application of New Carbon NanophaseMaterials inEnergy Storage. He highlighted the latest developments in this technology and predicted the direction of development, research fields and the prospect of the carbon electrode materials.

Prof. Chen mainly engages in fundamental research involving the transition of natural gas, nanophase materials, energy catalysis and storage.

In recent years, Prof. Chen issued 200 papers in celebrated journals such as Eng. Envir. Sci, Adv. in Catalysis and reported at international conferences. He made significant contributions to his fields including 3D energy storage materials, carbon nanotubes, synthesis of carbon fiber and grapheme and the design of their catalyst, receiving favorable results.
