2023 International Culture Festival Closing & JSU’s Most Talented

The closing ceremony of the 13th International Cultural Festival of Jiangsu University (JSU) and the final of the 2023 JSU’s Most Talented Chinese and Foreign Student Competition were held in the JSU auditorium on Dec. 16. Over 1600 Chinese and foreign teachers and students from all over the world merrily gathered to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative, and to share cultural integration. The event was jointly organized by JSU Publicity Department, Youth League Committee, and Overseas Education College. Present at the event were Executive Secretary General of China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week Liu Baoli, President of China Campus Network Yu Shucheng, Secretary of the CPC JSU Committee Li Hongbo, Vice President of JSU Ren Xudong, Vice President of JSU Cai Yingfeng, Director of Foreign Affairs Office of Zhenjiang Municipal People's Government Lu Lilin, Deputy Minister of Zhenjiang Publicity Department and Director of Zhenjiang Information Office Xian Yongchao, representatives of CCN universities, leaders of relevant JSU departments and Entrepreneurs.


Secretary Li Hongbo presented awards to student representatives for the Best Cultural Exhibition, Best Food Exhibit, Best Performance, Most Popular Country, and Best Country of the opening ceremony.


Vice President Cai Yingfeng presented in her speech that this year marks the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative, and JSU will continue to thoroughly implement of China’s decisions and deployment on opening up education and on promoting education under the Belt and Road Initiative, and will adhere to the internationalization of education as a way to build a high-level university with distinctive characteristics.


Chinese and foreign students jointly performed poetry recitation as gift performance to the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative.


The finals kicked off in the joyful and exciting Chinese and foreign dance “The Millennium Covenant”. This year JSU’s Most Talented has gathered more than 200 Chinese and foreign students who work together to showcase their unique and charming culture through various artistic forms such as situational dance, street dance performances, songs relay, qipao shows, instrument performances, fashion walk, and traditional Chinese Opera, etc. bringing the “world” to the stage of JSU.



The competition part was followed by guest performances and multi-national fashion walk. In the end, the awards for the JSU’s Most Talented were presented.
